I am an MAT student at Georgia State University in Middle Level Education with a focus in Science Education. In March 2026, I received the Bradford and Patricia Ferrer Scholarship in Middle School Education in recognition of my commitment to middle level student learning.

GSU MAT Digital Dossier

This digital dossier documents my development as a middle grades science educator. The narratives and artifacts included demonstrate alignment with InTASC standards and reflect my growth across learner‑centered practice, content knowledge, instructional decision‑making, and professional responsibility.

Leadership Philosophy

I lead with a clear and steady commitment: public schools must honor humanity, history, and hope while delivering academic excellence for every learner. My leadership philosophy is grounded in Gholdy Muhammad’s Culturally and Historically Responsive Education (CHRE), which centers five pursuits—identity, skill, intellect, criticality, and joy. These pursuits are not add‑ons for me; they shape how students learn, how teachers teach, and how schools decide what truly matters.

As an instructional leader in science and aerospace education, I prioritize rigorous, research‑based instruction grounded in Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Disciplinary Core Ideas. I believe joyful, relevant, and memorable learning experiences are essential for student achievement and long‑term engagement. These principles guide my work now and will continue to guide me as I grow into a principal and eventually a superintendent.
